Cloud migration — whether lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or re-architecting — creates a period of elevated security risk. Pre-migration testing evaluates the current security posture and identifies issues to fix before moving (don't migrate vulnerabilities to the cloud). During migration, testing validates that security controls are correctly configured in the new environment and that the migration process itself doesn't introduce vulnerabilities (temporary broad access, exposed management interfaces). Post-migration testing confirms the cloud environment's security posture: IAM configuration, network security, storage access controls, logging, and encryption. Our cloud security assessment is particularly valuable immediately after migration, when configurations are fresh and haven't yet been hardened through operational experience.
